Project Overview
With the global population forecast to reach 9.7 billion by 2050, the agricultural sector faces increasing pressure to produce more with fewer resources. Project IAPMS, developed by IVY TECH, introduces a next-generation AI-powered solution that addresses this challenge by enabling smarter, more sustainable farming.
Built on the robust ORiV® IoT platform, the Intelligent Agricultural Predictive Maintenance System (IAPMS) combines advanced sensor technologies and machine learning to monitor the health of high-value agricultural machinery in real-time. The system captures key operational data including vibration, current, sound, temperature, and environmental metrics to predict potential failures, reduce equipment downtime, and optimise productivity across the agricultural value chain.
Beyond performance optimisation, IAPMS also aligns with the UK's environmental goals by supporting reductions in nitrous oxide and methane emissions through data-driven decision-making. Unlike traditional maintenance tools, IAPMS delivers a fully integrated, end-to-end solution—from smart hardware to predictive analytics empowering farms to adopt more efficient, resilient, and responsible agricultural practices.
